LAMINATE COUNTERTOPS
Offering style and durability, in addition to being an affordable option.
WHY CHOOSE
LAMINATE COUNTERTOPS?
When considering an updated counter for your kitchen or bathroom, consider laminate countertops first. Some home owners turn their noses at laminate counters but laminate has its advantages. For starters, laminate counters are easy to maintain and according to Consumer Reports, laminate resisted stains, heat and impact in line with materials costing much more.
Laminate costs a lot less than most other materials. It's about $10 to $40 a square foot installed. In addition, unlike pricier materials, laminate can be replaced at a fraction of the cost so you will not feel locked in to the same design as your taste or home decor changes.
In addition to 1000's of cool colors and patterns, laminate countertops have significantly evolved in edge applications. That ugly dark line along the laminate countertop edge has long been replaced by an array of decorative edge choices - bullnose, ogee (S-shaped curve), beveled and crescent are just a few of the many choices.

THE BENEFITS OF
LAMINATE COUNTERTOPS.
Laminate is a great countertop option. Because of both its durability and its ability to replicate all types of natural elements, it offers a budget friendly designer look. There are several great advantages for choosing laminate countertops that match, and in some cases exceed, the benefits of other material choices.
We Respect Your Budget
Did you know? >
Adding granite countertops may help a home sell faster, but on average, granite only adds 25% of its cost to home value. Laminate is much less expensive than other materials. This does not mean it is cheaply made, just a great value!
COLORS & TEXTURES
Laminate countertops are available in more choices than ever before. Laminate countertops are available in a variety of profiles, patterns, colors and finishes available to suit anyone’s budget or taste. There are even finishes and patterns to replicate natural stone and woodgrain. Styles are constantly changing and your taste may too. Replacing a countertop with laminate is an affordable option.
HYGIENE
Laminate countertops are now available with antimicrobial protection baked into them. They kill some of the invisible pathogens that make us sick. Hospitals and commercial kitchens have been relying on technology like this for decades to help reduce the spread of germs and cross contamination.
DURABILITY
Modern laminate countertops can withstand high temperatures; so much so that Consumer Reports gave both granite and laminate an 'Excellent' rating. Consumer Reports also rated laminate as 'Excellent' as compared to the 'Very Good' quartz rating for stain resistance. Stone has a bad habit of chipping or even cracking under the right conditions. Laminate on the other hand can take a literal pounding.
MINIMAL MAINTENANCE
Laminate countertops do not require sealing. You literally set it in place and forget about it. One of the most common concerns with natural stone is that it’s important to maintain them properly to keep them looking new and stain free. About once a year you have to seal them with a topical sealer. This is not the case with a laminate countertop.

INSTALLATION OPTIONS
There are many options for custom edging including square, beveled and bullnose edging. A wood trim edge adds a warm accent to laminate countertops and can be formed into many different styles. If you like the look of your countertop as it is but the edging is damaged or is peeling away, it can be replaced without replacing the entire countertop. And finally, depending on the condition of the deck (underlying wood surface), new laminate can be installed directly over your existing countertop.
